26 – Dani Pedrosa Fan Site

Dani Pedrosa got a clearance to participate in season opener MotoGp, Qatar.  

“First, I’ve got to say I’m really happy to be going to Qatar for this race. It’s clearly been quite a difficult winter for me and not the preparation for the season that we would have chosen. But my recovery from the surgery in March has been good – probably a little better than we expected – and that means I have the chance to make the first race, which is great.

Dani Pedrosa still hasn’t got confirmation whether he will or won’t race in Qatar next week.

Due to his injury, Dani Pedrosa will not be able to do the last preseason test in Jerez. This final test will be held March 28 until 29.

Pedrosa himself is focusing for the real race, due to start in Qatar on April 12.
This injury also made Pedrosa unable to attend the Repsol Honda Team Launching, he did appear through the video-conference.

Dani Pedrosa has suffered yet another injury. He got thrown from his bike and then hit by his bike at Losail International Circuit on Monday. Dani fractured his left forearm and his still-healing left knee wound re-opened.

After the injury, he received a couple of stitches and then sent back home to Spain where he underwent more detailed evaluation and then underwent a surgery.

Gosh, I wish he’ll get better soon. Here hoping for his speedy healing.

Another year has come. That could only mean one thing. Err, actually it means a lot.
Anyway, new season start on April 12.

Just to keep you updated, if you haven’t read about this: Bridgestone will be the single tyre supplier for MotoGP in 2009.

I should posted this weeks ago but I keep forgetting to do it. Anyway, on Jerez Test (Nov 26-27), Pedrosa was the fastest on day one and second fastest on day two. Rossi was the fastest on day 2.
Dani, however, satisfied with the 09 prototype, saying:

“After working with the engine yesterday, today we concentrated on the chassis,” stated Pedrosa. “We worked to improve the behaviour of the machine during braking and in the turns. The only problem was the weather, which meant that we didn’t get so much time on the bike today. We had to wait for the track to dry, so we didn’t start until 2pm, and we finished at five. But we worked well and got the most out of those three hours.

“I found a good feeling with the bike this afternoon, so now we can sit down and analyse all the data we’ve gathered here in order to be ready for our next testing appointment at Sepang next year,” he continued. “I don’t have any special plans for the holiday season. During December I have some promotional events to do for some sponsors and then I will relax and enjoy some time with my family and friends.”
