Pedrosa 2nd on Jerez| admin | MotoGP, Results

Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa finished second on Spain GP at Jerez Circuit. Despite leading the race for 26,5 laps, Lorenzo finally overtook him with only half lap to go.
We certainly wanted him to win, but this is much better than the Qatar results. I think Dani rode a brilliant race although he didn’t win.

Pedrosa responded to this results, saying that he is pleased to be able to finish in second position.

“This is a great result compared to Qatar, which was a disaster,” said Pedrosa after an epic duel with Lorenzo. “To finish on the podium here is unbelievable, even though it is disappointing to be beaten with half a lap to go, but I think Lorenzo had a very good race so he deserves the win.”
“I pushed myself to the limit on each lap and I didn’t expect to be at the front for so long, so second place is a good position,” he added

Season Opener (Qatar): Pedrosa Qualifies Seventh| admin | MotoGP, Qualifying

Pedrosa will start this season MotoGP from the 7th grid (third row). The season opener will be held in Qatar at 23.00 local time. His teammate, Dovizioso, will start from 6th position. Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi took the first and second grid, consecutively.
Qualifying results is under the cut.

Here’s a response from Pedrosa (Source: MotoGP.com):

“We improved the set-up again today – a little bit in the morning and then a bigger step in the afternoon – and the lap time is coming down which means our position is better than where we have been recently. In the warm-up we will try to optimise the set-up a little more to help us with the race distance and then it’s down to the race where I’ll be looking for a good start of course. In qualifying I felt more comfortable on the hard option Bridgestone tyre which is why I was pushing hard at the start of the session. I wasn’t able to improve with the soft tyre so it looks like we’ll be going with the hard tyre for the race. It was actually a shame this evening because on my last lap I made a mistake and lost some time, and if I hadn’t done that I could have been fourth on the grid. Stoner and Rossi look very strong for the race, but there should be a big group fighting for the final place on the podium and I hope to be in amongst it.”

Pedrosa won Valencia GP| admin | MotoGP, Results

Dani Pedrosa won the last MotoGP grand prix for 2009!
It was a race on his hometown and I’m sure it means a lot to him.

A quote from Pedrosa:

“It’s really great to finish off the season with a win, especially here in front of my home fans,” said Pedrosa. “I was waiting on the grid with my visor up and I was looking to the side for Casey to arrive, but the marshal in front of me was walking to the side and I was thinking: ‘Where is he going!’ So I assumed something had happened to Casey on the warm-up lap.

This result put him in third position on the final championship standings.
This might not be the best season for Pedrosa, but it ends well. Let’s hope for the best next year!
